^PvE forum.
Flesh golem could definatly use a buff.
I've had a lot of fun with a dual MM/curse necro/discord build, sabway like...even with the cast nerf you can still abuse it :P

I love how everything in a PVE forum degenerates into a PVP discussion. read the forum title?

SS is the most used for PvE, hands down. SV and Grenth's balance get play with bosses. Flesh Golem/Jagged Bones get the most use with MMs, especially since 'Bones became so easy to cap. I'm not saying they are the BEST choices, just that they are the most used.

SS is the most used but it really isn't that useful if you have a good team where you can kill things quickly. You usually find yourself trying to cast SS on something that doesn't die in 5 seconds. The less focused your team is and the slower they are the better SS becomes. It's the most used curses elite because most necros think they should be dealing as much dmg as the physicals and eles.

I used SS, but Assasins Promise and some curses skills are FTW: Look this build, i have a few changes but oke...

http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:N/..._Of_Pain_Nuker

WoD is fun, MM is also fun, but with aura. I like also Wither and vampiric spirit.

Necro is the best of the game, if you know how to play!

best Necro PvE Skill is obviously SS!
JB, AotL and OoU come as close 2nd, all 3 are great elites for MMs!
than comes stuff like SV, CE, FoC, Discord, Virulence, Discord, etc

Enfeebling blood > SS trust me on that one. Your physicals should be doing the dmg anyways.

The person he quoted said that SS was the best necro skill in the whole game..... Which isn't true, notice he didn't say best elite but best skill, in which case would be wrong.

(no one cares about my opinions anyway, some of you just disagree with everyone for the sake of disagreement, I swear...)
I find that Golem is good for human MM's, whereas Jagged Bones is better for hero MM's, because a hero is able to keep track of their minions much better than a human. Tainted flesh is wonderful for PvP, since it does double duty as an inoculation vs. disease AND it spreads disease on the other team's side if they don't have it. In PvE, however, it's not that great. (You will disagree with me on the next point.) Aura of the Lich is terrible. You take half damage but have half HP. This does not reduce LIFESTEAL. If an AotL user encounters any blood user, they are screwed seven ways till sunday. They're pretty much screwed anyway because with half HP, even taking half damage, it just doesn't balance out properly no matter how you do it. Compare it to Life Bond or Angelic Bond. AotL is terrible. (AOTT, no one cares what you think.)

When it comes to blood magic, the skill selection is, frankly, awesome. Offensively, I have a HUGE preference for Spoil Victor. In some situations I prefer Life Transfer (PvP, helping out guildies in lower level areas because SV won't work, etc.) but for the most part, offensively I prefer SV. The elite I do not use in Blood Magic is pretty much Soul Leech. Needs a boost, methinks, perhaps to the damage level of SV or Backfire. (after all, it basically IS backfire, only life-stealing. Life stealing the same amount of damage as normal backfire would TOTALLY justify the elite status, but as it is, there's just not enough damage.)
For party support, I have always preferred BiP to OoV, but it's a close contest. I will only take OoV if it is requested. Well of Power is too similar to Well of Blood to be worth it, imho (which no one cares about.) If you want energy regen, it's more reliable to bring a blood ritual or BiP.

Curses, I really really like Feast of Corruption. You just don't see FoC anymore. The recharge makes it a frustrating elite. Even echoed, it's frustrating. But it's a nice AoE spike. I'm not saying it's GOOD, I'm just saying I love to use it and watch the health bars drop by a third. Spiteful Spirit is my least favorite curse of all, only because it is overused and gushed over and imho (which no one cares about) it's really quite weak. I still use it because unlike FoC, the recharge is manageable, but I really want FoC's recharge lowered. That would rock my socks. Weaken Knees leaves a lot to be desired. Wither is another favorite of mine; perhaps it could stand a bit more degen, but I really do like it. Lingering Curse ties with Wither, I like the enchant removal and the 50% reduction in healing, it really makes certain monk bosses easier to kill, but beyond that, I usually just bring Defile Flesh instead. Pain of Disenchantment has potential, but I think it could stand a damage boost. It's unreliable, imho. (ok, do you see the trend here? No one cares.) I can't remember any more off the top of my head.

(AOTT, why did you bother posting, no one cares what you think, everything you say is wrong anyway, geeze, go shoot yourself or something, why do you play this game, how did you ever get out of Ascalon?)

AoTL is not terrible. Ok? FoC is still frequently used by some of my guildies. Life Transfer is bad. Spoil Victor is bad. BiP is bad.

noted, but seeing how the person he quoted listed nothing but elites gives them the benefit of doubt.

The only thing to fix was spoil victor. The rest was perfect as it was!
You cannot miss with life transfer. There is no "if you know how to use it".
It sucks 24/7.
and BiP is a joke
